 | dean | | | | | Bill, our family attended your August 18th show at the Dead Dog Saloon. My nephew Matt had the honor of running to the end of the peer with the rubber chicken and lighted vest. Walt and the girls had a great time performing a few songs with you. Walts son had the hawaiian shirt and his wife had the paint ball dress. You made our evening and it was the best time our family spent out on the town all week. Even Dougie Howser enjoyed himself, and his hot sister Beth had a great time at your show. Thanks again, and we'll we see you time were are in Murrells Inlet.

 | Shawn Kovacik / OHIO! | | | | | Hi Bil,
Our family is once again getting together at Garden City Beach this week and VERY MUCH looking forward to seeing you at the Dead Dog Saloon this coming Tuesday. I am forwarding the photos from 2 summers ago (the last time we were all able to get together and go to the beach) in hopes that you will remember us. We are all originally from Ohio (and most still live there), and my niece Rachel is the one who was shot in the head at age 17 and has some brain injury (no short term memory) and is partially paralyzed on her left side. After Rachel was shot, one of her biggest wishes was to return to the beach and to go see Bil Krauss! We always love your show and you always make us feel very special. You do the "Hang on Sloopy" thing for Ohio State (where most of us went to college) and always mention us in your show. In the photos, my grandson, Joseph, who is now six, helped you build your cage, and my nephew, Luke, (25), was in the cage with the girls. We are going to make reservations at the Dead Dog and look forward to seeing you!
Thanks, Bil, for being the fabulous entertainer that you are! You are one very special guy! We love you!
See you next Tuesday!
Shawn Kovacik
(my sisters are Brooke and Drue)
PS Also, I hope you don't mind, but I put a video clip of my grandson, Joseph, singing Country Roads with you on You Tube. Joseph talked about that night for the rest of the week.
Thanks for all your wonderful entertainment! We always love it and we think you're the best!!!!
We love you!
Shawn

 | Ben Owings / Myrtle Beach, SC | | | | | Thanks for your schedule . Dawn and I will see you again this summer. I have been telling friends that they need to catch your show. Many already know of you and all appreciate your work.
Noticed your BOSE system you were using at Buzz's. We sell those at our store, "Andy Owings Music Center" located in Myrtle Beach Coastal Grand Mall. We have been telling artists how good they are for venues like yours. It sounded clear and plenty of power.
Later Dude,

It was great to meet you last Thursday as part of Pat and Tony’s crowd (me and my tie-dyed shirt inspired a few Grateful Dead jokes). We really enjoyed your show and will be back to see you when we go down to Myrtle Beach again, or if you come anywhere in the Ohio area.
Take care and best of luck w/your shows.

 | Frances Kroener from Murrells Inlet | | | | | Hey Bil,
Just want to thank you for making my husband George's birthday special. We were at the Dead Dawg on June 16th. and as always enjoyed your performance. I love introducing my friends and family to you, and watching their faces as you go through some of your craziness.
My daughter will be coming down from PA for a few days around the 7th July, and maybe we can get out to see you. Hopefully, she'll get up and do a number with you. She's a professional and hates it when I ask her to sing. Mother's pride!!!
Her name is Sharon Joy and you can see her and her band on www.newmonopoly.com
Once again Bil, thanks for a great evening of entertainment.

I just wanted to drop you a line and let you know how much we enjoyed your show a couple
of weeks ago at The Crow's Nest at Compass Cove. You made our vacation so much more
fun. The atmosphere of that lounge is just great. Remember us, the girls from Statesville NC?
We were there when "grandpa" was there....
I hope we will get a chance to see you again.

Thanks for the schedules. Lori and I will be down from Oct. 3-10 this year and we will also try and come down during the summer. We will make it a point to come see you play and to harass as is our custom. IIII have played your two CD's for party guests and have received some very good remarks. Good job on your part.
I look forward to seeing you as soon as possible. Please feel free to contact us if you are ever in the Raleigh, NC area.
Good to hear from you and take care.
Best regards,
H.E. COMER

 | Beth Brady | | | | | Hi Bil! I'm really going to try to get to the party. Sean has to work, so I have to find childcare for Jack and I'll be coming solo. I should be able to do it. I'm looking forward to it being earlier in the year so we can see Eastover with all the foliage. It's also my birthday weekend and my first time celebrating my 39th birthday! Hope to see you there, if not sooner.

 | Staff Member Peg Marsh from Albany, NY | | | | | Hi Bil,
This is such sad news. I feel so bad for all of you who have been going there for so many years. I'm so thankful that I was able to attend last year.
My summer/fall schedule is kind of crazy (we're going to Ireland in September, so I don't have that many vacation days to spare), but I vote for one last hurrah at the Eastover in Sept. I wouldn't want to miss your big show, so I'm praying that my payroll at work doesn't fall on those dates ( I'll check tomorrow) and that I'll be able to make it over if that is what you choose to do.
Best of luck coming up with a new venue either for this year, or in years to come. I'm sure that with all of the people on your staff, someone will come up with a great idea.
Take care and keep me posted!
~Peg

 | Rich Ventura Farmingdale, NY Staff Member | | | | | Wow! It's like losing a friend. So sad. Eastover was always "home" to many of us and she will be missed.
I like the idea of a last hurrah, but I think I want to keep looking forward rather than back. This is like our Ed Sullivan show, nobody knew that that was going to be the last one either.
I would love to say goodbye to Tiki and the buffalo and maybe be able to bring home a souvenir, but...
I know I was not a lot of help, but I am having a little trouble processing this.
Oh, btw, I vote for the same time of year. Something magical about it for me.
All the best, your friend, Rich
